Dignity Matters is a Massachusetts-based non-profit organization that provides free menstrual products, bras, and underwear to homeless or disadvantaged women, girls, and transgender men, helping them maintain health, dignity, and confidence. The organization addresses period poverty in the U.S., a critical but often overlooked issue, as SNAP benefits don’t cover menstrual care, and these items are rarely donated. Serving over 15,000 individuals monthly, Dignity Matters partners with schools, shelters, food pantries, and organizations like the Salvation Army to distribute essential items. Their unique support model involves scheduled, needs-based distribution to vetted partners, ensuring efficient, targeted support across Massachusetts.
